Career Batting Stats
The Career Batting Stats subpage of the Batting Stats area provides career batting stats for the currently selected player for all leagues in which he has played. This information is provided both for position players and pitchers. You can access the the Career Batting Stats page in several ways:

  • Click on any player name on any standard game page (any page that isn't a HTML report), then click on the Batting Stats tab
  • Right-click on any player name and select Open Player Profile, then click on the Batting Stats tab

The menus and buttons at the bottom of the page are described in Player Profile Common Action Menus and Buttons.

There is a lot of information on this page, so we have broken it into the following distinct sections:

Note: The above links will not work within the in-game help. However, they all simply link to sections lower in this page, so if you are reading this in-game, just scroll down to find the appropriate section!

Statistics
The right side of the page contains all of the selected player's career statistics, across all leagues in which he has played. Several drop-downs at the top of the screen allow you to modify the data to suit your needs:

View Drop-down
The View drop-down toggles the display between "basic" and "expanded" hitting stats. "Basic Batting Stats" include the most common hitting statistics, such as games played, home runs, and batting average. "Expanded Batting Stats" includes some of the more uncommon hitting stats like wOBA, ISO, and VORP. See the Glossary for definitions of the various different statistics.

League Scope Drop-down
The League Scope drop-down allows you to choose which leagues are included in the displayed statistics. You can view a total of all league levels combined, or you can choose from the drop-down to specify a single league level to view.

Splits Drop-down
The Splits drop-down allows you to choose from several splits: Regular Season, Postseason, Versus Left, and Versus Right.
