Monthly Finances

Monthly Finances are calculated on the first day of every month (including the offseason, although some items like ticket sales won't produce any income then.)

Game Revenue

Seven days prior to the start of the regular season, the number of season tickets the team has sold for the upcoming season is calculated. News stories will appear on that day announcing the season ticket sales numbers for the team and league. On the same day, luxury box sales for the upcoming season will also be calculated and announced.

On the first of each month, teams will receive the ticket revenues from the previous month. These are calculated for every home game. Luxury boxes generate 25x the amount of a regular seat sale, premium seats 2x the amount, and standing-room seats 50% of the amount. Additionally, teams will also receive additional game revenues (from concessions, parking, etc.) for each game; this amount will be lower if the team does not own their own arena. Preseason games generate 50% of the normal ticket revenue amount.

Broadcast Revenue

Every month, teams will receive a share of league broadcast revenues (if any); these revenues are split evenly between the teams in the league. Additionally, the team will receive 100% of its own local broadcast revenue.

Sponsorship and Merchandising

Teams will receive additional revenue from sponsorship and merchandising. Part of this is a leaguewide amount split equally between all the teams in the league, some is a local amount exclusive to the team (based primarily on its market size and the happiness of the fans), and the rest comes from player merchandising (uniform sales, etc.), which will vary based on the popularity, talent level, and ratings of the team's individual players, as well as any circumstances special to the player (such as having been recently acquired or being a locally-born player.)

Owner Contribution

During the season, the team's ownership will contribute some of its own funds to assist with the team's operation. If the team is in dire financial straits, the owner may also make a special contribution, listed separately, to help the team remain solvent.

Transfer Income

If the team is in a league that allows players to be sold for cash, any players sold in the previous month will result in extra revenue listed here.

Fixed Costs

In addition to salary expenses, teams must pay additional monthly fixed costs that correspond roughly to their overall budget, the size of their market, and the type of league.

Monthly Operations Budget

The following settings can be changed on the first of every month (only, they're frozen as soon as the game is advanced a day.) Settings from the previous month will be retained in the next month unless they're changed:

Scouting Support

This amount reflects the operations budget for the scouts - transportation, accomodations, etc. The Last 5 points of Scouting Strength are now based on expenditures - the maximum Scouting Strength that can be achieved by the contributions from scouting ratings is now 15, then the team can add up to 5 points to that (the same amount is added to every zone) from the Scouting Support expenditure.

Team Morale

This amount reflects amenities for the players - quality of transportation and accomodation on road trips, the dressing room and training facilities, etc. This provides a Happiness bonus/penalty to all players on your roster (both the active roster and the injured list) for the remainder of the month.

Game Promotions and Arena Operations

This amount reflects local advertising, in-game entertainment, extra arena staff, promotional giveaways, etc. - anything that will encourage people to go to games. It affects the overall attendance at home games by modifiying the regular attendance calculation to increase/decrease ticket sales.

Payroll Expenses

The team's monthly player and staff salaries are converted to revenue points and listed here. (These amounts are informational and not editable - the only way to change them is by adding or removing players or staff from the team.)

Starting Funds

At the beginning of a game, each team gets a Starting Points total that reflects the funds they already have on hand.
